Before & After: Brad’s Backyard Cleanup

before, backyard, overgrown, fix, cleanup

I’m all about low cost improvements, especially when they can be achieved without much more than a couple days of weeding, pruning and mulching. Brad’s yard was in serious need of de-jungling, and the end result looks 10 times better. It’s a great reminder that you don’t need much cash or even handy skills to make your yard, or even just parts of your yard, look better.

after, backyard, cleanup

A stone path was brought to the surface after some simple clipping and the patio was weeded and brushed off. The 2 beds are no longer part of an endless carpet of grass and the bushes have all been trimmed. Mulch was added and a photo was taken….and really, that’s about all that was done. I love makeovers like this! -erin

A Tale of Improving Weather, Gardening and Anaphylactic Shock

A Tale of Improving Weather, Gardening and Anaphylactic Shock

The snow is piling up (over the windows at this point) and my cabin fever is turning into a strange and crazy thing. I think I might be developing photokeratitis. We’ve run out of firewood and the oversized roof-cicles are making me feel like I live in a cage. So it is no wonder that…

A Studio ‘g’ Holiday Shopping List

My wife asked me as we drove with our four kids from Maine to North Carolina, what I would like for Christmas. You know the feeling of not really wanting anything other than warmth, good company, good food, and a healthy, happy family. Well, I am having those feelings this holiday season but there are…
