Swedish pavers from Oldsjö Hultgren Design

Concrete pavers bore me to death — generally — but these, by Swedish  Oldsjo Hutgren Design, are a whole different story.

This little plaza motif is beautiful and exciting and I love that there is no effort to try and make concrete look like old stone or something that you might find in a Venetian Plaza.  Am I the only one who is sick of ‘Tuscan’ or other Disneyland styled pavers? – bleh – leave Tuscany, the Cotswolds, Santorini, Dublin or wherever else alone and revel in your own regional style, I say.   I really find it annoying when people, things, and design try to be something that they clearly are not.

This seems so beautifully and confidently scandinavian and stylish and I really appreciate it for those qualitites, do you?

Those are really cool! I have seen some creative designs where you can use different size pavers to create a grape motif and some fun swirls. I’ve been dying to do one for a client but have yet to find the right client.
