Recycled Graffiti Plant Pots from Terracycle
Graffiti in the garden – We talked about it a couple weeks ago. Now look — Terracycle, a terrific company that is recycling all sorts of things in lovely ways, have created the Urban Art Pot from 100% e-waste (which is defined as crushed computers and fax machines). Each pot is painted by an inner city artist (read graffiti artist, tagger) to create a unique piece. Currently only availabe in 8″, it sounds like the range is expanding to other sizes.
I love it when I am right and I can say I told you so.

Terracycle has a lot of other great goodies on their site including a line of green cleaning products and lawn and garden products. Hotels, businesses, schools and the like can sign up to send in wrappers from otherwise un-recycleable products like oreos, juice boxes, and chips bags. They are looking for wine bottle corks too. They send you a postage paid box to collect with so it’s easy and free and the more you collect, the more they will donate to a charity that they like or one that you name.

These are fabulous! It makes me want to graffiti up some of my boring terracotta pots.
