Trend Alert: Grafitti in the Garden
I have had this half written post now for weeks, when I saw a post on Garden Visit yesterday and now it is confirmed. I am calling Graffiti in the garden an official trend…

This is Kelburn Castle and it recently got a face lift. It is a famous home to visit for it’s gardens, walking paths and stunning natural resources. This is also still the family home of the Earls of Glasgow, so don’t think this is just a museum stunt. They are really living with it.
This was recently posted at Denver Urban Nature (part of a display at the Denver Botanic Gardens)

I love this from Garden Unit

I am not an urban gardener now, but when I was, I actually kinda liked some graffiti and seeing this, I think it is time we embrace this art, work with it and celebrate it. What do you think? For you British readers, you may remember not too long ago when Alan Tichmarsh was constantly painting walls in the garden his signature blue. Because plants looked good in front of it. Now imagine a graffiti wall.
I am so inspired by the the interesting design that could come from collaborating with a graffiti artist…

I love the moss graffiti, but I think they trashed the castle.

Gorgeous artwork especially the moss graffiti. And I also like the piece from the Denver Botanic Gardens. What a great way to bring this artwork into a garden setting. Would I have it in my garden? If it was as good as these I would.

I love the moss graffiti too. I wonder how they did that? Spores mixed with beer and buttermilk?

[...] Graffiti in the garden – We talked about it a couple weeks ago. Now look — Terracycle, a terrific company that is recycling all sorts of things in lovely ways, have created the Urban Art Pot from 100% e-waste (which is defined as crushed computers and fax machines). Each pot is painted by an inner city artist (read graffiti artist, tagger) to create a unique piece. Currently only availabe in 8″, it sounds like the range is expanding to other sizes. [...]
