Free Garden Book – Comment Contest
I am doing a Happy Thanksgiving Giveaway! This is Studio g’s inaugural contest, with many more to follow. For the first, I am giving away 2 copies of “The Garden Makers Manual” – a great book for seasoned designers and new gardeners alike. (and it is near and dear to my heart because I had a little hand in editing it). All you have to do is comment on any ‘Studio g’ posting (yes, any post you feel compelled to comment on—so check out the archives—each comment increases your chances) between now and Monday Nov. 24th. I will announce the winners on Tuesday Nov. 25th. I have goodies for a couple more giveaways coming up from great companies like Le Prince Jardiniere and others so come back and check often.

If you don’t win, The Garden Maker’s Manual can be purchased at amazon.com.

“The Garden Makers Manual” looks delightful … a lovely idea. Always enlightening to visit and thank you again for featuring my trillium photo in a previous wildflower post. Happy Thanksgiving!

The picture on the front cover convinces me – I’ll throw my hat in the ring for a free book!

I’m game! I’ve had my hand in designing a gardening book (Garden Walk Buffalo) and have been trying to add to my collection – I have another garden book in mind and am always looking for reference materials.
And I’m sure there’re some ideas in there I can steal for my own garden.

My husbands new passion is gardening. We have a little patio that he has been tending to for years. But as of late he has been raiding the gardening section at the library. For Christmas my intention was to get him some gardening books. But the economy is bad and we were laid off. Bummer. So Christmas is all about the kids this year. But I would love to surprise him with this little gem. He would be delighted.

I am a garden design student and I was thinking about adding this book to my library. I also hope it will help me with my new garden. I’ve heard wonderful things about Alexander and his garden design school, so this will be interesting.

Oh crud. Take me out of contention – Megan deserves it more than me! Even Alex would benefit from it more than I would.

I am doing a bit indoors with potted plants, but am really looking forward to spring and being able to do some planting outside, this book looks like it would be a great guide.

Looks like a great book. We recently fenced in part of our yard, and I am formulating landscape plans.

Your site is lovely and fills a real void in the design blog world. I recently moved and now find myself with a big, wonderful, daunting garden full of possibilities. This book looks like it could give me some direction!
