Snow Removal – Fast and Easy?
My Driveway is about 300 ft long. (not exaggerating). We have a plow guy who charges us by the ‘push’ – which needs to happen every 4 or so inches. Needless to say, if I had something like this…and it were as good as it looks, I would have paid for it about four times over already this winter. Any one ever use it? Is it worth it? Let me know.

Available from clean air gardening for $99.00.

I have one of these. I find it works best when there is only about an inch or 2 of FRESH snow…… before anyone walks on it. The drawback with using it is that it is too heavy to lift and is designed to pivot on the front wheel when you are off-loading the snow. That means that it is inevitably dumped in an area that you are yet to do. I find that the hand shovel is usually quicker because you can thrown it away from where you have to do next. The blade on the front is very sensitive to any cracks in the concrete and to any ice on the driveway. When it hits an obstacle it is very jarring to your arms. With a shovel there is less impact on your body when you hit an obstruction. I have had mine for about 12 years and have not given it away yet because it is very good for very fresh light snow that you want to move in a hurry. For older snow it is fairly useless as it becomes very heavy.

thanks pam for the review! — now I am thinking this isn’t for me… I just have too long a drive and it is a bit bumpy…. also fired the last ‘bad’ plow guy and hired a new ‘good’ plow guy, so my drive to get out and do it myself has diminished greatly.
